Capital advisory to Greenpoint S.A. – the owner of a chain of clothing outlets in Poland operating under the brand name „Greenpoint”.

It’s with pleasure that we inform you of the completion of the sale transaction of a controlling shareholding in the company Greenpoint S.A., which is the operator of a chain of 100 clothing outlets in Poland under the brand name „Greenpoint”.

This is the latest transaction in the retail sector realised in recent months by Holon’s team, after we helped the group „Tatuum” to secure a strategic investor in September last year.

The transaction took the form of the purchase of 70% of the company’s shares, from the existing owners. The investor is a private equity fund Ideabox Capital.

With the new investor, the company has gained lasting access to equity and debt financing. The hitherto owners will continue to play a role in the company’s management. The investor’s objective is to accelerate the development of the chain of outlets, as well as to actively participate in the consolidation of the branded clothing retail sector. The value of the transaction has not been disclosed by the parties.

Holon performed the role of transaction advisor to the company’s owners. The investor selection process carried out by Holon included discussions with both strategic and financial potential investors. The negotiations and final investor selection took the form of a competitive process, that allowed for the existing owners to obtain the best available transaction terms.

Greenpoint (www.greenpoint.pl) is the operator of a retail chain of branded clothing for women. The core customer group are women of 30-40 years of age, who value comfort and a universal, daily style. As well as clothing, the sales salons offer accessories: handbags, belts, scarves, hats, gloves and spectacles. Currently the company operates 100 salons nationally, of which 70% are owned and the remainder are franchise outlets. The average salon has a 70-90 m2 area. The majority of salons are located in shopping centres in large and medium – sized towns, with a population of over 30 thousand inhabitants.
