Capital advisory for the management in the process of attracting a financial investor for Grupa Nowy Szpital – the biggest nationwide network of non-public hospitals in Poland.
Holon acting as an advisor to Grupa Nowy Szpital Sp. z o.o. has completed a project of obtaining the new financing for the Group. Grupa Nowy Szpital is the biggest Polish network of non-public hospitals and manages 13 hospitals with total revenues of approx. PLN 300 million. The new financing was provided by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the amount of EUR 10 million.
The raised funds will be utilized to further consolidate the Polish hospital market as well as to finance new investments in currently operated hospitals.
"The money will be allocated to support further development of Grupa Nowy Szpital, including acquisitions and investments in the infrastructure. Within next five years, we plan to buy or lease 6-10 medical facilities” - says Marcin Szulwiński, CEO and one of the founders of GNS. „The financing has been provided when the needs of local governments and hospitals managed by them are rising. This substantially increases the opportunities for the project developed by the GNS with the support of ZUK Know How” – adds Adam Roślewski, GNS co-founder and the chairman of the supervisory board of GNS.
„The project gives EBRD the opportunity to support GNS in applying best practices and know-how in the healthcare industry” - added Frederic Lucenet, Production and Services Director in EBRD.
Holon acted as the financial and transaction advisor in the process of obtaining a financial partner for GNS. Holons role included preparation of the offer, identification of financial investors, transaction structuring and its final execution.
